Der unverwechselbare Geruch von 2-Takt-Öl, das Knattern der Motoren und glänzendes Chrom in der Sonne – am 14. September 2025 wird Chemnitz wieder zum Treffpunkt für alle Liebhaber von Simson und MZ. Gemeinsam laden das Museum für sächsische Fahrzeuge Chemnitz und die ESKA Automotive GmbH zu einem besonderen Tag für alle Generationen ein, an dem Zweiradgeschichte lebendig wird.

Ob originalgetreu, restauriert oder liebevoll und kreativ umgebaut – die legendären Zweiräder aus Suhl und Zschopau verbinden Generationen. Jung und Alt teilen hier eine Leidenschaft, die weit über Technik hinausgeht: Es ist das Gefühl von Freiheit, Gemeinschaft und gelebter Geschichte.

In diesem Jahr wird gleich an zwei Orten gefeiert:

• 10:00 bis 13:00 Uhr auf dem Parkplatz des Museums, Zwickauer Straße 77
• 13:00 bis 17:00 Uhr auf dem Gelände der ESKA Automotive GmbH, Lutherstraße 87

„Zu DDR-Zeiten lieferte die ESKA (früher Sächsische Schraubenwerke GmbH) Schrauben und Muttern für Fahrzeuge von Trabant bis Simson – da war der Gedanke, gemeinsam ein Treffen zu veranstalten, fast schon naheliegend. Wir möchten nicht nur den Besuchern zeigen, wer ESKA ist, sondern sie auch die heutige Produktion hautnah erleben lassen“, erzählt Lukas Nagel, Mitorganisator des Treffens.

Die Besucher erwartet ein buntes Programm:

• Radio T sendet live von der Veranstaltung
• Der beliebte Moped-Limbo am Museum – wer kommt mit seinem Moped am tiefsten unter der Stange durch?
• Preisverleihung bei der ESKA für die schönste Originalmaschine und den kreativsten Umbau
• LO Robur-Kinobus am Museum mit Kurzfilmen zu Kunst und Kultur im Vogtland
• Werksführungen zwischen 13:30 und 16:30 Uhr bei der ESKA Automotive GmbH – mit exklusiver Erinnerung: eine handsignierte Schraube als Schlüsselanhänger
• ESKA-Merch-Stand mit einem Schraubenset und vielem mehr.
• Kulinarische Angebote an beiden Standorten

Dieses Treffen ist mehr als nur ein Event – es ist ein Stück gelebte Kulturgeschichte, ein Wiedersehen alter Bekannter und ein Kennenlernen neuer Freunde.

The Museum of Saxon Vehicles Chemnitz and ESKA Automotive GmbH cordially invite you to a special day for all generations. Whether original, restored or lovingly and creatively rebuilt – the legendary two-wheelers from Suhl and Zschopau connect generations. Young and old share a passion that goes far beyond technology: the feeling of freedom, community, and living history.

This year the celebration will take place at two locations:

• 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the museum parking lot, Zwickauer Straße 77
• 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the premises of ESKA Automotive GmbH, Lutherstraße 87

„During the GDR era, ESKA (formerly Sächsische Schraubenwerke GmbH) supplied screws and nuts for vehicles ranging from Trabant to Simson – so the idea of organizing a joint reunion was obvious. We not only want to present ESKA, but also give a first-hand experience of today’s production,“ explains Lukas Nagel, co-organizer of the reunion.

Visitors can expect a varied program:

• Radio T will broadcast live from the event
• The popular moped limbo at the museum – who can get their moped under the pole the lowest?
• Awards ceremony at ESKA for the most beautiful original machine and the most creative conversion
• LO Robur cinema bus at the museum with short films about art and culture in the Vogtland region
• Factory tours between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at ESKA Automotive GmbH – with an exclusive souvenir: a hand-signed screw as a keychain
• ESKA merchandise stand with a screw set and much more
• Culinary offerings at both locations
